About Us

Ross and Tony operated a successful café in Claremont for 15 years.

They sold the café in late 2016 after falling in love with Point Fraser and the entertainment complex being constructed at the incredible location … and so Barmah on the Point was born.

“Barmah” meaning meeting place, sits on the Swan River at Point Fraser in East Perth, adjacent to some picturesque wetlands and very close to Heirisson Island.

The location is perfect for families to explore the native fauna and wild life; kangaroos and bird life are plenty, and dolphins are sighted too! There is also a fun playground (for big and little kids alike) directly in front of Barmah with a scenic lawn area and trees. Bean bags can be borrowed from Barmah for you to lounge under the nearby trees whilst keeping an eye on your little ones.

Ross and Tony have a passion for wholesome, home-style food that is prepared freshly on the premises. Excellent coffee and quality food is offered at an affordable price, and displayed through the passionately curated menu at Barmah on the Point.

Barmah is “BYO” to ensure families can enjoy the scenic location and surroundings with a beer, wine, or champagne  at an affordable price.

If you’re missing home, or want to get away from home for a wonderful meal, come down to Barmah on The Point!

See you soon .

Ross and Tony.
